# List personal notifications

> Read every unread assignment and mention notification and notifications read in the last 24 hours. Use `nextCursor` for all pages; `unreadCount` is independent of page size.

Read access: a read-enabled personal or team REST API key, or a signed-in user. OAuth clients use the corresponding MCP tool through /mcp.

Read every unread assignment and mention notification and notifications read in the last 24 hours. Use `nextCursor` for all pages; `unreadCount` is independent of page size.

Unread notifications remain visible; read notifications are retained in the list for 24 hours. `unreadCount` is independent of page size. These are personal notifications; team API keys cannot access them.

MCP clients can use [`list_notifications`](https://www.mill.fyi/mcp-reference/list_notifications) for this operation.
